I have a great affection for this small wood. Officially called Whim Wood, it lies between Over Owler Tor and Scraperlow above the village of Hathersage. When my son was small we spent a lot of time walking here, making dens and exploring, and on one memorable day we stood for a long time watching two enormous barn owls wheeling and gliding like silent ghosts through the spaces between branches. It was thereafter called The Owl Woods to us, and I still refer to it by that name. It’s always a special place, quiet and beautiful, but walking into the trees on this particular winter morning was like entering a fairytale world of soft light, deep colours and an indefinable magic. The sunshine flickered and flashed through the mist to fall in little pools on the bracken and briar, and the only sounds were the dry leaves rattling and the streams whispering.

Prints
My photographic prints are all printed on archival quality Fuji Pro DPII Lustre professional photographic paper. Coated with a slightly stippled texture, they have a semi-matt finish with minimal glare. They are available in sizes from 6×6″ to 24×24″ and are supplied unmounted, ready for you to mount and frame to suit your decor.
Please note that large format prints (14×14″ and larger) will be posted to you rolled in a tube for safe shipping.

Canvases
My canvases are individually printed in the UK onto high quality 100% cotton canvas of 340GSM thickness, using a 12 colour process for richer tones and brighter whites. They’re hand-stretched onto European pine wood frames, and are supplied with fixings so that they’re ready to hang on your wall straightaway.
All canvases are available in a range of sizes to suit the space you have available, and in a choice of two depths. The 20mm edge canvas is slimline to fit beautifully against your wall, whereas the 45mm edge canvas is sturdier, chunkier and makes more of a bold statement in your home.
