Hello!

I feel lucky beyond measure to live and work in the heart of the Peak District National Park, and for many years it has been my pleasure and privilege to record its beauty in all seasons, weathers and moods. I love nothing more than wandering the countryside of this very special place, camera in hand.

I’ve never considered myself a landscape photographer in the traditional sense; more a collector of little moments. The Peak District has no shortage of grand vistas and iconic landmarks, but I have always found the biggest inspiration in the smallest scenes. My photographs are a celebration of those glimpses of life that often pass unnoticed: the light that glances across fields for a split second between clouds, the swirling mists that roll through the valleys on still mornings, or the dappling of early sunshine on quiet lanes.

I share my photographs every day on social media, and I am followed by almost 150,000 people online from across the world. My work has featured on BBC national TV and radio, and in numerous magazines, including Country Living, English Home, and Tudor Places, as well as more locally in Derbyshire Life, Reflections and Pure Peak. My photographs appear on a number of cards in the BBC Countryfile range of cards, flying the flag for the Peak District nationwide. In 2024 I was delighted to win the National Parks UK Photographer of the Year Award.

As well as photographing the Peak District landscape that I love so much, I write about it too. I have written many of the features, articles and walks for Let’s Go Peak District, the largest independent visitor website for the Peak District, as well as many Peak District and Derbyshire walks for the area’s official tourist board, Visit Peak District

I hope that my photographs and words make you smile and maybe inspire you to visit the Peak District for yourself one day. Until then, why not follow my adventures on Facebook, Instagram or X for some regular countryside inspiration in your newsfeed?!

Thank you.

Peaklass Shop

Did you know that I sell all my Peak District photographs as prints and canvases, plus many as high quality greeting cards? You can find them all in my Rather Lovely Online Shop!

This is also where you’ll find ‘A Quiet Light’, my hardback book of Peak District photographs and words, as well as (seasonally) my Peak District Calendar, and a wide range of gift items featuring my images, including notebooks, magnetic notepads, coasters, chopping boards, tea towels, tote bags, key rings and fridge magnets.

If it was a real shop it would be cosy, with a bell that jingles when you open the door, but I’m afraid you’ll have to imagine that bit…
